Fanboy Faceoff: Minecraft vs. Portal

So a few Weekly Adventures ago, the challenge was to make a video game mashup pic or story. I was late in submitting, but I did have a pretty good idea. Finally, after a while, I've got the picture done and uploaded! In the picture, Red and I are discussing our favorite video games. Like any good nerd debate, it eventually just turns into who can make the better game pun related insults. Red is arguing on behalf of Minecraft, and I am on the side of Portal. Literally. I decided to use screen captures just to make it fun. Plus, I'm lazy with backgrounds.

But the characters were another story. For me, my costume was easy: just use the same outfit I wore in Steam Rejects. But I'm trying out a new face design created by Disney-MangaFan1906. The biggest (and most noticeable) difference is probably the glasses. As for my little goober of a brother Red, I gave him a new Minecraft outfit I had already used in a Sketch BOOM. Complete with diamond helmet, a pack filled with arrows, and a diamond sword, Red is out to slay the mobs and take back the night!

Now, like any Fanboy Faceoff, let's point out the good and bads of the game.

The Portal Franchise
In the game series created by Valve, you play as a test subject named Chell who has no memory of her past. You wake up stranded in a science testing facility called Aperture and must find a way to escape, all while surviving a killer AI called GLaDOS. GLaDOS, a state of the art, super intelligent machine with a quick wit, is probably the most advance piece of technology in a video game. If having to face any of the challenges of Minecraft, she could easily use neurotoxin or unleashed her turrets. However, (as far as we know) she cannot leave Aperture and is pretty much attached to the ceiling. Plus, in potato form, she is far more vulnerable. If GLaD is no help, your Portal gun can easily help you escape the creatures of the night, as well as suck your enemies to the moon.

Minecraft
The newest thing in Pop Culture, Minecraft is an online MMO where creativity rules and you build things out of brick while surviving nights filled with Creepers, Zombies, Skeletons, and other various monsters. Given the number of weapons and possibility Minecraft has to offer, it is possible to build something in your battle against turrets and GLaDOS. As well as that, you can unleash Creepers onto turrets and they will blow the machinery up. However, there is still a chance the turret will just shoot the Creeper down. Plus, with enough force and time, GLaDOS could find a way to destroy whatever it is you built against her.
