Hey there people of today and robots of tomorrow! It's me, CK!
Today is Fantasynarium
's Birthday! And in celebration I posted a comic I owed her for a long time. In the comic Villa reunites with her sister Samoa after her return from her camping trip in Alaska. For the comic I had the two Monsters look back on some old memories through pictures that were both a joy and pain to create. It was a joy coming up with all the dates to turn into pictures and it was also a pain drawing them to picture style quality. Never the less, after several redraws I finally got the pictures just the way I wanted them to look, posted the comic, and I am now posting the pictures to go with them.
The 80's are slowly coming to a close, and they're going out with a bang! Ninetendo is selling their Game Boys like hot cakes, the Simpsons have drove into their driveway for the first time in their own television show, and everyone is talking about films like Batman and the Little Mermaid. For the Monsters, Villa is now starting her Elementary School adventure in Kindergarten where she'll learn to read and write and make lots of friends. Meanwhile Samoa is enjoying fifth grade and is excited to move up to Middle School where the big kids are. But, before any of that happens, their parents have a surprise for them: THEY'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!
The family arrives to see the thrilling new addition to the park Disney's MGM Studios where they ride The Great Movie Ride (where the Alien and the Witch scares Villa, and both sisters sing along to Mary Poppins), take a tour at The Magic of Disney Animation (where the two learn how to draw Donald Duck), and over at Epcot the two sisters run into two familiar faces they've seen on the TV ads: Dreamfinder and Figment. They get the merry man's autograph and play with the small purple dragon. When finally the parents end the vacation, the children don't wanna go home and decided they're going to live there.
I knew I couldn't do any collection of family pictures without doing a picture at Walt Disney World. No family can ever go through life saying they've never been there just once. When I asked Kim which character she'd like to meet at Disney World, she told me she'd never gone there. So, I had to improvise and I figured out a way to sneak Dreamfinder in there. Enjoy!
