Hey there people of today and robots of tomorrow!
It’s me, CK!
A few days ago my friend AlphaBeta90 showed me a cool little sketch sheet of his with various sketches of some of our characters on it. Thinking it was cool I decided to try my luck with that idea and see how many doodles and sketches I could fit onto one page. The last page fit up to 22 characters. Tonight alone I managed to get my score back up to 27. Booyah! Once again I limited myself to doing sketches of my own original work. Which meant no Mickey, no Marvel, no Turtles. It had to be my characters or characters inspired by them. I also sketched characters I felt needed more attention or perhaps a redesign.
This BOOM has more little pictures of big ideas in it. There’s Phil and his tribute to ZZ Top, Pizza Monster as he appeared in the Japanese Ice Cream postcard Fantasynarium made, and of course Joey. For Valentine's Day I decided once again to include some of the great KIDtoon couples. This included ERN-E and EMIL-E, Freak and Anti-Hero, and I even managed to include KD and I. I figured I eventually had to do it, so here is Kelly Daine once again in her Queen La outfit. She fills it out good. KD and I also star in a picture with Red featuring an idea I’ve had for a while.
In some weird reality, the cats of the world spread a virus that reworks the DNA of everyone around them and turns them into cats. Thanks to Kitty Kubbles (aka dnxlightangel), the same happens to the Main Trio. I turn into a cheeta (I have spots, run fast, and tire easily), Kelly Daine is a mountain lion, and Red is a tiger. No relation to White Tiger of course. Then as you can see I star in another picture with the creative team behind the Brave Little Tailor II; Johnny Briz (davidfoxfire) and Lilian Fox (Disney-MangaFan1906). I recently finished outlining the whole plot and I am super excited to see how it turns out in comic form.
Once more there’s SHER-I, BAT-E, and Super Monster, Fizzy and Spam Monster, as well as Bumper and Crocie but this time in a different situation. I also drew the Mistress of Dreams as a child and Smash it Sue as if she were in Minecraft. Go Sue go! Out of all of these sketches, that has to be my favorite. The first time I drew Minecraft figures it was terrible! Sue is a serious improvement! And finally, just for fun, I included Polka Shark and his reluctant friend the Striped Starfish as they run into one of Polka Shark's hardest challenge yet!
