Three Years and Still Kick'n!

Description

Hey there people of today and robots of tomorrow!

It's me, CK!

Three years ago today, I had created a website I called 4000. The website was based off the idea that eventually in the year 4000 robots would inherit the Earth and they'd make a sort of Facebook website to chat. The website featured characters like WALL-E, droids from Star Wars, and a new face never seen before: ERN-E. While creating the site, I figured it'd be fun to feature a character of mine on the web, and one that could be the mascot of the website. Since I got a new scanner, I put the character online and called him ERN-E. He was named that because it was a nice, simple name. Originally the character was nothing more than a robot, simple and not too exciting. Soon he developed into a WALL-E Fan Character being used in RP's and my original online stories WALL-E at the Movies.

It was also that same year that I learned about deviantART through the WALL-G comics by AlphaBeta90, and I decided to sign up. ERN-E made his debut on my first day here, February 19th, 2011. Quickly he started to draw some attention and became the mascot for the 4000 deviantART group. Over the next few years he ditched the arch reactor in his chest for a circular iPod with his name on it, and had a personality: your average day comic book geek who bowled and hung out with his friends: SHORT-E  and EMIL-E (who both first premiered on September 5th, 2011). At that this time ERN-E got himself into more pictures and tried to start a comic strip career. Making two cameos in the WALL-G comics as well as trying his own luck in an unsuccessful comic strip series. It seemed for a while ERN-E was nothing more than, well, ERN-E.

Then on March 5, 2012 AlphaBeta90 once again helped shape ERN-E's career by featuring him and his friends in his comic HERO ZERO, a tale of the future where Monova is queen of the planet and she builds a heroic team called the Knights of the Square Table. At first the dubbed "crack comic" wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Leave it to me that I took it as just that! ERN-E was molded into the humble, heroic, and brave Knight while still being your average day robot. ERN-E even managed to come up with the team's catchphrase, "KNIGHTS UNITE!" And, had the comic continued, it was said he was going to battle Darth Vader. Back then ERN-E used Captain America's shield as his main weapon and still looked like an EVE probe.

When more and more KST stories came and went, ERN-E went over a major transformation. He was now more buff and looked less like a WALL-E reject. As well as this metallic surgery, ERN-E made new friends: his dog Beta (May 25, 2012), the psychic coffee brewer Bruce (May 25, 2012), his annoying core roommate AL-X (July 14, 2012), and many others. In that time, EMIL-E also became a Knight gaining strange powers and even stranger enemies, and ERN-E has been pitted against the universe's deadliest foes. His origins were also revealed in a horrific backstory that one saw coming. ERN-E is the first KIDtoon ever created, and the first KIDtoon to actually have fans as well as be featured in an animation. Now, after three years of kickin' butt, reading comics, and dating EMIL-E, ERN-E has still remained the humble robot he is. Only time will tell what will happen to this robot from the year 4000.

To celebrate his birthday, I created this picture with 2014 ERN-E (once again upgraded) being nostalgic. I gotta say, it was actually quiet refreshing drawing ERN-E from 2011. And I decided not to give him any fancy PaintShop upgrades, so that way you can really tell how old he is!

:iconern-eplz:: I'd like to thank all my friends, and especially the fans. I still don't see what you guys see in me, but I appreciate the support none the less.
