This week’s Weekly Adventure is to make our own figure for the upcoming Holidays. Since I have already made Bumper, Panicked Turkey, Randolf, and Zed, I decided to make a new one before I take a pause from deviantART art and get started on my project. Every year, as you may all know by now, I bring out my Christmas trunk which has all of my Christmas stuff in it. This includes my Christmas blanket, Santa hat, and even a giant plastic candy cane. When I put them on I create my own superhero called the Holiday Knight. This year I decided to take that idea a step further.

The Holiday Knight is now like a Batman figure, minus the tragic background story. I have been hand selected by the Spirit of the Holidays to make sure everyone’s Holiday is merry and bright. Sworn by the Oath of Peace on Earth, I am not allowed to kill anybody, but I can defend myself and others. With this duty bestowed onto me, I become a steampunk Holiday Hero with an arsenal of different tools and gadgets.

This is where the fun begins.

First off my hat works as a helmet as well as a wireless communication device. My googles allow me to see in the dark, but also protect my eyes from my ability to hack into breakers and short circuit Christmas lights. This creates a cover of darkness where I use my cape for stealth. I can also use a grappling line of lights to reach far places and trap opponents. I am equipped with exploding ornaments that release magical Sandman brand sleeping dust as well as my own version of the baterangs: gingerangs, made out of gingerbread. If these don’t work, two devices have been strapped to my wrist which can produce snowballs out of water molecules in the air, which I can use to throw and stun opponents. Last but not least my Holiday Candy Cane Staff can transfigure into a number of weapons ranging from nunchucks to lightsabers to mint shooting machine guns to bats.

And of course no hero would be complete without a means of transportation. I don’t like staying out in the cold, so the Spirit of Christmas gave me a kick butt set of wheels, a supped out sleigh with turbo tinsel engines. Ho ho ho!

Now for some behind the scenes stuff. Originally, this guy was supposed to have more of Victorian style outfit to go with the whole Christmas theme. But then I was inspired by my friend Lilly (aka Lo-Carbquine) and the art of twisted-wind and decided to make it Steampunk. We don’t have a lot of Steampunk heroes and I thought this would be interested. So I gave it a shot and I was surprised how cool I look in Steampunk. Plus, I tried some more shading ideas and it worked! Yay! Enjoy.
